Case & Bulk Shipments
Case = Any product that says it is in a case or shipped as a case. What is not a case = something that is described as being in a display, 5 pound box or bag, or anything that is packaged or in a bag that is 5-10 pounds or less. Many items that are sold in a display will ship from the manufacturer direct as well. We keep some displays in stock, but please inquire if we do before making your purchase. We do not include free gifts with case purchases.
Bulk Chocolates = Bulk chocolates are not case packed and are made by hand at our facility or are smaller portions of a case pack. They are not cases and ship from our west coast warehouse. Standard shipping prices for over 1 pound, bulk items or shipping in a cooler pack to East Coast/Midwest will be higher than shown in shopping cart. Remember if you order one to two pounds of chocolate, then the ship weight (if it's not going in a cooler pack) will be about 2-3 pounds to allow for packing material and box.
Gift Shipments/Gift Cards = We cannot include a note or notify the recipient you are sending the case as a gift. The only thing we can do is put your short message in the Care Of line on the shipping label. Example: Ship to: Jon Carey, Care of: Happy Birthday!
For Foil Wrapped Chocolates Shipped During Warm Weather: Cases are shipped via the New York manufacturer and require a cooler pack with Fed Ex 2 day delivery during warm weather. The manufacturer charges $10.00 per case for coolers. If you are within 1-2 days from NY for UPS ground, you do not need Fed Ex unless you want it. The manufacturer processes and ships orders usually within 3-7 days, even for Express shipping, plan accordingly or ask us to ask them if they can meet your deadline first. If you need same day shipping, call or email us for other solutions as we may have to ship the split cases from our warehouse. We do not ship cases from our our warehouse, but we do have the smaller packaging. You will save on shipping costs if you are in the West by ordering tubs and 5-10 pound increments instead of cases during the summer season to avoid Fed Ex charges. It is difficult for us to get Fed Ex tracking numbers from the manufacturer, so unless your package is late, we will not provide such numbers. During spring through autumn, parts of the country where delivery trucks have to pass through might still be warm. The manufacturer ships to the Los Angeles shipping company to distribute through that location. This process can take an extra 5 days in addition to the 5 days processing and days on the truck. Allow a minimum of two weeks for UPS ground shipping. Fed Ex ships direct from the NY warehouse, so you will have to wait 3-10 days to get the order. If you require faster shipping service, we will ship Fed Ex Express for you. If you are within 1-2 days from NY for UPS ground, you may not need Fed Ex Express shipping, even if you need it quickly. The manufacturer processes and ships orders usually within 3-7 days, even for Express shipping, so plan accordingly. If you need same day shipping, call or email us for other solutions as we may have to ship split cases from our warehouse. We do not ship cases from our our warehouse, but we do have the smaller packaging. You will save on shipping costs if you are in the West by ordering tubs and 5-10 pound increments instead of cases to avoid cross country shipping charges. We will have a UPS tracking number only when the package has shipped, not before. We cannot send Fed Ex tracking, inquire only if your package is late.
Shopping Cart Prices: The shopping cart will NOT give you accurate shipping pricing or any pricing at all. We will add this in by hand and email you an invoice with this charge. If you would like a shipping quote before you make your purchase, please email us. EMAIL Occasionally our chocolate supplier will change the packaging configuration without letting us know before we can make changes to the web site. If you ordered something that has had a case configuration and you get the wrong size, we will do everything we can to fix this problem or refund you the difference. Prices change sometimes without notice as well.
Case Discounts: Cases will be discounted if your purchase up to 10 or more of the same item in the same color/flavor. If you need more than 10 cases, the manufacturer might offer a better discount. If you are a regular customer and purchase cases/volume orders from us regularly, you will be put on our 5% off discount program. Please contact us for pricing. The case pricing is already discounted. We do not sell cases at wholesale pricing and we do not offer wholesale discounts for cases.
International Shipping: We can only ship broken down cases from our warehouse (5 lb bulk/boxes/bags or less). The New York warehouse does not ship internationally (well they do, but it costs around $200 for a 10 lb case). We cannot ship chocolates/candy via Fed Ex or UPS, only with US Express or Priority Mail with insurance and tracking. So if a case has three 5 pound boxes or bags, please order three 5 pound boxes or bags, etc., not the case. We do not offer case pricing shipped from our warehouse. If you'd really like a case of an item we do not stock at all, we are happy to special order it from the manufacturer to our warehouse and you will have two shipping charges apply to your order, one from NY to WA and the one to you direct. If you have your own Fed Ex account #, we will ship Fed Ex to you internationally. Please keep warm weather in mind, chocolates only do well shipped via Fed Ex international priority or with US Express mail in our thick walled cooler. Please inquire further with other questions you may have.
Case Pick Up in New York: You may pick up cases of chocolate at the New York manufacturer. Please call or email us to arrange this, do not go to the manufacturer without us setting an order up for you, they will not sell direct to you. We do not offer pick up service at our west coast warehouse.
Kosher Labeling: Some bulk chocolates might not have kosher labeling. We can fax or include certification in your shipment if needed.
